A Change Is Coming!

Beverly Kindle-Walker

Democrat For Wayne County Treasurer

Endorsed By These Trusted Organizations And Many Others:

A True Public Servant With No Hidden Agenda!

The current Wayne County Treasurer was caught in a major corruption scandal, where he allowed relatives and friends priority access to homes and didn’t foreclose, penalize or seize the properties when their taxes were delinquent (Detroit News 01/09/19). He did this while he foreclosed and auctioned off  thousands of homes across the county. That’s not right. That’s not fair. People shouldn’t profit off of other people’s misery!  “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul” Mark 8:36.

As your County Treasurer, I will restore public trust in the Treasurer’s office by being a woman of the people, dedicated to helping Wayne County’s citizens keep their homes, protect Due Process rights, protect millages, protect pensions, and respond to over assessments issues.  It’s a matter of management.

I will implement and uphold policies that protect and support all 43 municipalities that make up Wayne County. The Treasurer is the custodian of all monies, collector of county taxes, disbursing agent for certain tax funds to local communities and school districts, investment officer and other duties regarding inter-related fiscal matters of the numerous county departments and agencies. The County Treasurer sits on the Wayne County Election Commission and governs the Wayne County Land Bank. (Source: Wayne County Clerk)

Vote  BEVERLY KINDLE-WALKER  for WAYNE COUNTY TREASURER – Democrat

I have over 30 years of administrative, legislative and managerial experience in city & county government and in the private sector.  Also, I am an elected Democratic precinct delegate and I’m engaged on several non-profit boards. Some Accomplishments: Successfully administered a $1 Million dollar building rehab project for a “youth education in aviation” program. Was instrumental in getting the County Treasurer to restore the City of Detroit’s ownership of the old DeHoCo Plymouth property valued at $16 Million dollars which had been illegally auctioned. Received a Testimonial Resolution from the City of Detroit.

We are going through very hard times with COVID-19 economic and societal changes which could impact our fellow neighbors by leaving them in financial ruin with no homes. We need to make sure that federal CARE dollars are spent to keep people in their homes. No repeat of the “Hardest Hit Funds” that were mostly diverted.  Now is not the time to have a self-serving, conflicted Treasurer in office. www.freep.com/story/opinion/columnist/nancy-kaffer/2019/09/05/wayne-county-treasurer-eric-sabree-foreclosures/222038001
